At Hotel Gran Rey, we are committed to complying with our obligations regarding transparency, applying this principle to all matters carried out both within and outside the company. The Hotel works to establish the foundations of a clear and transparent working environment, based on fair and non-discriminatory criteria.
With the aim of complying with the transparency obligations mentioned in the previous paragraph, the following information is presented:
1. Institutional
The vision with which Hotel Gran Rey was born was to integrate into its natural surroundings, avoiding pressure on the natural environment, and to satisfy the demand for an establishment of this type in an area of growing tourism demand, whose only offer until then consisted of apartments.
Hotel Gran Rey was inaugurated on 15 November 1996, holds a 3-star category, has 99 rooms (198 beds), and has an average workforce of 42 employees. It is located on the island of La Gomera, specifically in La Puntilla, on the coast of the municipality of Valle Gran Rey, inside the Valle Gran Rey Rural Park and near the Garajonay National Park, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Its activity is mainly aimed at clients who love sport and nature, looking for a type of holiday committed to nature and health.

Hotel Gran Rey, S.L. is a small, independent Gomeran company made up of people from this island. With the aim of being leaders in the hospitality segment on our island and a reference in environmental management and sustainable tourism internationally, we offer products and services that allow us to exceed our guests' expectations, seeking to anticipate their needs, paying attention to detail and, with excellence as our goal, bringing warmth and interest to their stay with us.

One of the main principles of the hotel is to work towards sustainable tourism; on our island, it cannot be understood in any other way. In this sense, the hotel has a consolidated environmental, quality and social commitment.

Hotel Gran Rey seeks to build loyalty among those who know us. It seeks a type of tourism with high environmental awareness, knowledgeable about the environment they visit and interested in its conservation. A tourism that, far from harming or detracting, protects and promotes the opportunities this island deserves.

A small-scale establishment in terms of built area and building density, which has managed over time to exceed its guests' expectations. With a firm commitment to maintaining and respecting its surroundings, whilst being efficient in the consumption of resources and paying special attention to guest satisfaction.

The Hotel Management assumes responsibility for the Management System, delegating the supervision or execution of some activities and processes to the Heads of Department. In case of absence, responsibility falls on the Director.
Likewise, in each area there is an environmental manager for each process, ensuring a solid structure to support the Management System.
